The Novel Coronavirus: Mission 2.0

The Novel Coronavirus: Mission 2.0           On 11 June 2021, seven of the world's most influential and advanced economies came together in Cornwall, UK for the 47th G7 (Group of Seven) Summit. Of the many things they spoke on (as you can imagine), one of the many things they touched on was the pandemic and the call made by Host Prime Minister Boris Johnson to ensure an equal distribution of COVID-19 Vaccines, further testing of COVID-19, the Five-Point-Plan System and the creation of a Global Alert System. The nations eventually agreed to donate 1 Billion Vaccines to underdeveloped countries. Anyway, keep that in mind because we will get to that later. What is Mission 2.0?         Mission 2.0 is the beta version of what will be one of humans most advanced and difficult process we will ever face. It involves hundreds of thousands of construction containers, trucks, planes, ships and stacks of money and big factories to the extent that th...

My Craze and Passion in History

My Weird Passion in History           The world is an infinite place. As a young boy, I always loved history. Reading and watching YouTube Videos all about World Wars, Cold Wars, Hot Wars and of course, The Great Wall. Not the one in China, the one that a certain celebrity genius wanted to build...          In Primary School, there was Social Studies. Basically Geography, History, Literature, World Affairs all squished into 30-minutes of a spaghetti bowl of mess. One minute you'd learning about the capital of Cambodia, the other minute you'd be learning about how Napolean conquered Europe, like another World War II figurehead... Churchill, of course.           Then we got to Secondary School, where Social Studies were split into different subjects. So now there was 150 minutes of History! But entering History Class, I could already tell that History was not going to be how Alexander the Great die...

My Vaccination Experience (Part 1)

My Vaccination Experience (Part 1)           In our world, there are three types of 'stories'. The non-fictional, the fictional and in between them is a particular type of story. The type of story that begins like any other day before the story transcends into an overwhelming amount of information along with chaos. But let's begin... May 31, 2021 Prime Minister Lee of Singapore addresses the nation           "Therefore, we will take advantage of the June Holidays to vaccinate students. Bookings will open tomorrow (June 1). We will give priority to the graduating cohorts for 'O', 'N' and 'A' Levels, as well as special needs students. Then the other students 12 years and above will take their turn, including students in our Institutions of Higher Learning."      I curse deep inside. Don't get me wrong, I am not  the 15 people who have phobia of getting injected but I was always anti-vaccine. Allow ...

Pomodoro Technique - Update Five

Image
Pomodoro Technique - Update Five     In our modern, digital, technologically advanced world, there are way more distractions all around us. This is one of the many problems with Home-Based Learning as there are hundreds of distractions online. You could be studying for 15 minutes before chucking in an hour of Minecraft. Like the millions of other kids around this planet, distractions are inevitable whether you are the world's biggest genius or just an average kid like me.     In both school and work, the system is made to make you always at your 100.1% capacity. The most inner core of this system is the basic formula adapted into our everyday life. That is: Maximum Work + Minimum Time = Productivity     This sophisticated model of Productivity has creeped into our modern world thanks solely to the great advancement in technology, especially in time.  So I went on a quest. After publishing the June - A Month of Change article which you can click  h...

50 Days to the Olympics - Shorts

50 Days to the Olympics - Shorts     O utside Tokyo Station, one of the world's busiest train station, sits a countdown clock. Like hundreds of other countdown clocks in Japan and in the world, it was counting down to the Opening Ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics until 25 March 2020, while this clock was counting down to 23 July 2020, a whole cycle of 365 days was added. You see, a day before, the International Olympics Committee (IOC) released an official statement to postpone the Olympics to 2021. So what is going down in Japan 50 days from the big day? Tokyo 2020: Dealing with the Pandemic     On the COVID-19 front, Japan is not doing well. So far, only 5% of the population has been vaccinated while cases have only started to decrease. Recently, Doctors and Experts have warned the government that if the Olympics were to go ahead, the country's already overwhelmed healthcare system would collapse, from the inside. Just to add to the chaos, the recent B1617 variant has...
