 Farren's Opinion Corner - Update 1
     Hello Welcome back to my favourite corner of my bedroom. The Opinion Corner. Whelp! It's been a month since the first article was uploaded on this blog (January 10). There have been a total of 6 articles (excluding this one) that have been uploaded so far and a viewership number of almost 500. I feel that this 'update' thing should be a thing that I do every month or every two or three months to tell you more about the usual happenings of my life. Let's begin. The Corner Update
    Where do I begin? Secondary School is hard especially the transition phase from Primary to Secondary. It feels awkward I guess and I blame that primarily on change. This is because after 6 years in primary school, advancing up seems weird and feels as if you have to start all over again with making friends and establishing relations. 
    
    Don't get me wrong, I like Secondary School so far other than the duplication of subjects from four to eight and the overwhelming amount of work squeezed into a few hours every day. Making new friends helps you to broaden your view and opinion. 
    'School is one thing. Blog is another'. When I first started this blog, I was so interested in it. The first 3 articles where written in 6 days! After a while, you get less interested and then you interest usually die out about 2 months later. I am still very interested in this blog but I am trying my very best to spread out my schedule to allow for time to focus on studies and blogging aswell.

    Lastly, I just want to get it live on the spot in this article and that is to coin the abbreviation for Farren's Opinion Corner. (FOC). So that instead of wasting a few precious seconds of time typing out 23 characters, I only have to type out 3. Saving me a huge amount of time! 
Introducing Opinion Corner Shorts

    Opinion Corner Shorts is an idea toiling around my head since I began the blog with the imminent question of 'What if I have examinations? How do I post while keeping track of studies aswell?'I initially came up with the idea of pre-blogging. But then I realised that since most of my articles are on developing issues that brew slowly by the hour or sometimes the day. So instead I came up with shorts! A shorter and smaller version of the original normal and lengthy blog that takes around 2-3 days to research and write, 'shorts' will take around 2 hours to research and write. Great! But why? that's because as you probably know I am 13, to simplify, I have examinations to take in my school so I can't post daily like some bloggers but I can post shorter version of my long blogs. Shorts will also include not as big topics. So for how long will shorts be a thing for? Well, it will be thing that will stay with this blog and will be a thing that will happen every examination season and when I feel like it.

Since World War II, the UK has seen the subsequent decline of their global power status, especially through the lost of their colonies which once made up 25% of the world's landmass. However, over the last 15 years, British Declinism has accelerated greatly thanks largely in part to economic decline, political divisions and internal conflicts resulting in economic deceleration and stalled growth. The Broken Mental Health System

The first two paragraphs are an adaptation of an original comment I wrote on the r/Singapore subreddit. I am awfully worried for students like me. In my opinion, the problem with our Mental Health  treatment machine is that those who need proper help fail to get enough of it meanwhile those who need not require help find these measures useless and boring and in some cases, further a adding to the stress students face. Imagine you're a student (or maybe you already are one) and you find yourself suffering from early signs of depression. There are four options for you. Talk to your Form Teacher, a School Counselor, seek Private Help or (unfortunately) give up. We know that students are more unlikely to open up about their mental health than adults (65% of adults do, only 32% of students do) therefore rendering the first two options redundant.
