The Novel Coronavirus: A Time to Reflect      In 1918, a horror story struck the world. The story is now widespread but yet it's mysterious. So mysterious that till this day in our modern world, we still don't know where this began . It is indeed the Spanish Flu or The Influenza Pandemic. It killed roughly 50-100 million people or then almost 4% of the world's population. No one was safe. But yet spoiler alert, we got through that. Now, we are at another turning point. COVID-19, while less deadly than the Spanish Flu has still killed millions and infected hundreds of millions. This article, I want to answer the How, the Why, the Who and the Future of our planet. Extra! Extra! Read about COVID! - Shorts      Let's get right into the news! We have two stories to cover. One on a vaccine, the other on a GRIM MILESTONE. Let's do it The Johnson & Johnson's Vaccine      As of now there are quite a number of vaccines making the rounds like the Pfizer Vaccine or the Moderna Vaccine or say the SinoVac Vaccine or the AstroZeneca Vaccine along with the Sputnik Vaccine (Best name by the way). The Johnson and Johnson's one is important because it is the first vaccine that only requires the administration of one shot whereas the others require two shots instead. This probably helps to transport the vaccines in larger amounts and save of storing two types of the same.   A Short and Sweet Update      So this article will be a short one. Recently, I have been under intense stress over examinations and other more important issues so blogging is not the best option right now, not to mention falling ill during Chinese New Year. So instead of juggling between school and blog, I am going to completely break from blogging for the next two weeks starting on Tuesday, 16 February 2021 when this article goes out and until 28 February 2021 . I will stop posting on Farren's Opinion Corner and Farren's Footnotes.      Connecting Us (Part 2) will be postponed while Let's Remember will be out on March 6. The Origin of COVID-19 - Shorts      So I was going about my Chinese New Year day when the World Health Organisation (WHO) experts had concluded their overwhelming research in Wuhan, China. The beginning and the probable origin of COVID-19.      For starters, WHO had sent these experts to Wuhan a few days ago with one main goal. Find the origins of COVID-19. After their backbreaking visit, they concluded a few things. Keep in mind that research is still in progress so the information below might change. Palindrome Day! - Shorts     My favourite day of every year! Palindrome Day! For those who are unclear about what a Palindrome Day even is , it is a set of number or alphabets that can be read both forwards and backwards. Something like 'RACECAR' or 'EYE' but a Palindrome Day is a date format which can be read forwards and backwards (DD/MM/YYYY) that can be read both forwards and backwards. In the past, Palindrome Days where very very rare. For most of the last 900 years, Palindrome Days were very rare. Until now, the last two Palindrome Day were, 31022013 (31st February 2013)   and 02022020 (20th February 2020).       Until now, in the 2020s. Since the years go in order of 20,21,22,23 and so on, the last two digits of the year matches with date numbers. That is how we got the 12 of February 2021 (12022021). A Palindrome!
